Treatment with over-the-counter, preservative-free artificial tears can relieve eye dryness. burning, itching, irritation, pain, and a gritty sensation in the eyes. Wearing goggles can
protect the eyes from outdoor wind and dust. Dry mouth is treated with artificial saliva.
Using a room humidifier and not sitting in front of fans and air vents can also help (Option 1).
